This W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Co. Old Dog knife utilizes a 3 1/2" Long Clip blade. Stamped with pattern number TB612022 DAM, the blade material is Damascus Steel. Damascus Steel is made by forging & folding together hundreds of layers of hard & soft steel, and then etching them with acid. The acid dissolves the layers at different rates resulting in a visible pattern on the steel. The alternating layers give more flexibility & toughness to the steel, and the hard & soft in the edge act much like micro-serrations that aid cutting. The handle is Peachseed jigged Molasses Bone with a Bombshell Stainless Steel Brushed Inlay shield. The bolsters are Brushed Stainless Steel. It's around 5 inches long (folded/closed) and weighs approximately 3.5 ounces. Handcrafted in the U.S.A., this knife comes complete with Limited Lifetime Manufacturer's Warranty, a Leather Storage Pouch....
