Description

This Ontario Knives 498 Survival Fixed Blade knife utilizes a full-tang, 7" Clip Point Swedge blade with a Flat Bevel edge and 4.3mm thickness. The blade material is 1095 Carbon Steel with Black Zinc Phosphate finish. (Note: Carbon Steel is generally harder than stainless steel, this allows the blade to hold a sharper edge, longer. However, Carbon Steel will corrode/rust if it's not cleaned and oiled regularly.) The handle is textured, Black Leather with finger guard and hammer pommel. It's around 12 inches long (total) and weighs approximately 1 pound(s) 0.8 ounces. Handcrafted in the U.S.A., this knife comes complete with Limited Lifetime Manufacturer's Warranty, a Leather Belt Sheath.
