Description

Full-Tang Construction! Curtis Iovito Design! This Spartan Blades, LLC Machai Fixed Blade knife utilizes a 6 5/8" Recurve Drop Point blade with a plain edge, flat grind, 4.8mm thickness, thumb jimping, and finger choil. The blade material is 1095 Cro-Van Carbon Steel (56-58 HRC) with Black Powder-coating. (Note: Carbon Steel is generally harder than stainless steel, this allows the blade to hold a sharper edge, longer. However, Carbon Steel will corrode/rust if it's not cleaned and oiled regularly.) The handle is textured Green Canvas Micarta with a lanyard hole and finger guard/groove. It's around 11 3/4 inches long (total) and weighs approximately 10.8 ounces. The knife is presented with a Black Multi-position Belt Sheath.

Very nice for Tennessee Cutlery price.

I wanted an alternative to everyone's Esee 6. The knife is solid with my only gripe being the rough grind. The grind leaves an unfinished feeling. The Tennessee Cutlery no tax and free ship combined with an amazing price truly makes this a 5 star deal. My 4 stars is for the knife alone.
