The blade material is CPM 15V Carbon Steel with a satin finish and Shawn Houston's "Triple B" specialized heat-treatment.Note: Carbon Steel is generally harder than stainless steel, this allows the blade to hold a sharper edge, longer. However, Carbon Steel will corrode/rust if it's not cleaned and oiled regularly. The contoured handle is textured Brown FRCP with ambidexterious sliding ball-bearing lock, finger groove/guard, lanyard hole, and reversible tip-up pocket clip.
