Blackened Carbon Steel Blade! Genuine Leather Sheath! Certificate of Authenticity! This W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Co. US Marine Corp Service Knife knife utilizes a 7" Long Clip blade. Stamped with pattern number USMC CV, the blade is Blackened Carbon Steel with the famous CASE XX tang stamp. (Note: Carbon Steel is generally harder than stainless steel, this allows the blade to hold a sharper edge, longer. However, Carbon Steel will corrode/rust if it's not cleaned and oiled regularly.) The Handle is Genuine Grooved Leather. It's around 12 inches long (total) and weighs approximately 10.1 ounces. Included with this knife is a Genuine Leather Sheath embossed with U.S.M.C. Emblem & CASE XX Logo, and Certificate of Authenticity.
