This Benchmade, Inc. Bailout knife utilizes a 3 3/4" Locking Tanto blade with a plain edge, swedge, 2.3mm (0.09") thickness, and thumb studs. The blade material is CPM M4 Carbon Steel with Flat Dark Earth coating.Note: Carbon Steel is generally harder than stainless steel, this allows the blade to hold a sharper edge, longer. However, Carbon Steel will corrode/rust if it's not cleaned and oiled regularly. The handle is Crater Blue 6061-T6 Aluminum with a reversible tip-up pocket clip, Axis lock and lanyard hole. It's around 4 3/4 inches long (folded/closed) and weighs approximately 2.7 ounces.
