This Ontario Knives Compact Machete knife utilizes a 9" 'Big Belly' Machete blade with a plain edge and 3mm thickness. The blade material is 1075 Carbon Steel with Blackened finish.Note: Carbon Steel is generally harder than stainless steel, this allows the blade to hold a sharper edge, longer. However, Carbon Steel will corrode/rust if it's not cleaned and oiled regularly. The handle is American Walnut Wood with brass rivets, a lanyard hole and 'Bird's Beak' butt.
